Our main focus this week was working on our Pecha Kucha projects. To prepare for our presentations next week, we were given a lot of class time to develop our ideas. This included watching videos, gathering information, reading outside sources, and putting together our slides. I thought the time we were given was very helpful because we all have our own individual topics. Therefore, we will all need to be researching different things for our Pecha Kucha projects. As we prepared, we could ask questions or collaborate with classmates about different strategies to tackle the presentation. I thought this was an added bonus of the class time we were given.
One thing that I found pretty helpful in my preparation was watching the Pecha Kucha presentations from last year. Watching them gives me a pretty good idea of where to go with my own presentation. I can see what the people last year did, and it provides me sort of a loose guideline to follow. Without watching some of these, I feel like it would be kind of up in the air with what direction my presentation would take. So, watching these was a very good tool to use.
